Winner of the JazzContreBand 2025 Talent Award
We are proud to announce we have been selected as the Winners of the JazzContreBand 2025 Talent Award with our duo - Vincent Schmidt & Natan Niddam.
For this edition, five groups from the Franco-Swiss region – from duos to sextets, all composed of musicians under 30 – were selected to perform on the stage of Le Chaudron (Centre des Musiques Actuelles) on Sunday, 19 October.
Each ensemble presented a twenty-minute set of original compositions before a professional jury chaired by Elina Duni and Jeanne Michard, alongside Ivor Malherbe (RTS), Alex Dutilh (France Musique), and four members of JazzContreBand.
At the end of the auditions, our duo received the 2025 Winner’s Prize, which includes:

six concerts programmed during the JazzContreBand Festival 2026,

a performance on the Cybele Stage at the renowned Jazz à Vienne Festival in July 2026.
The 2025 Special Jury Award was given to the band Basel Friend Zone.
This recognition means a great deal to us and inspires us more than ever for what lies ahead.
